About us
Hello!
Kryssy here and a little intro to who is behind the brand.
Originally from the Midlands and along with my husband moved to Pembrokeshire for work as an activity instructor we fell in love with the coastline and stayed for the people we met, and we are now raising our son in this beautiful environment. Our dog also enjoys the adventures too.
We love exploring the coast from the cliff tops to the sea and wanted to create a brand that expressed this to create comfortable clothing to enjoy these adventures.
I want to share this with as many people as possible, and through donations to charities linked to the outdoors and water-sports, I hope to help with access and opportunity.
Why Sakura? 🌸
Sakura is Japanese for cherry blossom and a sign of spring, my favourite season. It's all about those new beginnings, nature waking up from the cold of winter.
Spring for me is about looking forward to the colourful skies of sunrise and the longer days for adventures.
The fleeting moments to be embraced, exactly as the Sakura represents once its blossoms fall, with the delicate blossom representing the beauty and fragility of life.
Join me in this journey, share your adventures, explore locally, explore coastally and look and feel amazing all the time.

Sakura started life as a wood workshop when I was looking for a use for all the off-cuts that come from the boat-building repair and restoration jobs I was involved in.
Surf wax holders and Body-surfing handplanes were small enough and adaptable enough to create them in a variety of ways, and wood creates warm, stylish products that are functional as well as looking great.
Humans retain a sense of play into adulthood, and my aim is to produce a range of quality products to reflect this.
Sakura is based in Pembrokeshire, Wales and takes inspiration not only from cherry blossoms, but also the Japanese culture and traditions to create stylish innovative products.
Where possible, we strive to produce our apparel and accessories from sustainable materials, which will ever improve as the industry evolves and adapts.
All our wood work is primarily made with cherry wood as well as locally sourced or reclaimed timber and wood products, as well as FSC plywood for our handplanes as we really like the aesthetic.
